The Ruger Mini 30 is a amalgamation of some of the best engineering the firearms industry has produced.

At its heart it is essentially a scaled-down, stainless steel, detachable magazine version of the vaunted M1 Garand that makes use of the cheap, plentiful, and most importantly reliable (due to case taper) 7.62x39 cartridge of Russian AK fame.
