The Long Nomad XC Built for Hunters and Precision Rifles
The Dead Air Nomad LTi XC is the long-body titanium member of the Nomad XC family, designed for the shooter who puts maximum sound reduction and minimum weight ahead of sustained high-volume firing. Built from 3D-printed Grade 5 titanium, the LTi XC provides the internal volume of a long .30-caliber suppressor while keeping the bare suppressor body under ten ounces.
That combination makes particular sense on a hunting or precision rifle. Long suppressors traditionally provide excellent sound performance but add considerable mass at the end of the barrel. The Nomad LTi XC body weighs only 9.9 ounces, helping preserve the balance and portability of a rifle that may be carried considerably farther than it is fired.
This Huckleberry Arms configuration is the Black Xeno model, manufacturer part number NOMADLTIXCXENOBLK. It includes the Dead Air Xeno HUB adapter and a 5/8x24 DA124 Xeno Omni Brake.
Do Not Confuse the LTi XC with the Shorter Nomad Ti XC
The names are similar, but the Nomad Ti XC and Nomad LTi XC are two different suppressors. The standard Nomad Ti XC has a 6.35-inch body, while the Nomad LTi XC uses an 8.12-inch body. The additional length provides substantially more internal volume for shooters prioritizing suppression on hunting and precision rifles.
With the included Xeno adapter installed, the LTi XC measures approximately 8.8 inches and weighs 12.2 ounces. The bare suppressor body itself weighs only 9.9 ounces.
The tradeoff is straightforward: the shorter Ti XC is easier to maneuver, while the LTi XC is for the shooter willing to accept additional length in pursuit of greater suppression while still keeping muzzle weight unusually low.
Two-Stage Coaxial Baffle Architecture
Dead Air uses additive manufacturing to produce the Nomad XC family's enhanced two-stage coaxial baffle system. The internal geometry incorporates pressure-harnessing structures designed to manage both lower-pressure and higher-pressure rifle cartridges within the same suppressor.
Additive manufacturing is especially useful here because it allows internal gas paths and structural shapes that would be difficult or impossible to produce from a conventional stack of individually machined baffles. That lets Dead Air place material where strength is needed while removing unnecessary mass elsewhere.
The result is a suppressor intended to deliver strong sound performance without carrying the weight normally associated with a long precision-rifle can.
Rated Through .300 Remington Ultra Magnum
The Nomad LTi XC uses a .30-caliber bore and carries a manufacturer muzzle-energy rating of 4,400 foot-pounds. Dead Air rates it through .300 Remington Ultra Magnum, giving the suppressor enough capability to move from moderate .30-caliber cartridges into serious magnum hunting-rifle territory.
That makes the LTi XC suitable for properly configured hosts chambered in cartridges such as .300 Blackout, .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor and .300 Winchester Magnum as well as compatible cartridges within Dead Air's published pressure and energy limits.
Always verify Dead Air's current caliber and barrel-length guidance before moving the suppressor to a new host, particularly with short barrels or high-energy magnum cartridges.
Excellent Fit for .308, 6.5 Creedmoor and Magnum Hunting Rifles
A long titanium suppressor makes considerable sense on a bolt-action hunting rifle because the firing schedule is normally very different from a defensive carbine or machine gun. Rather than absorbing repeated rapid strings, the suppressor can focus on reducing report, recoil and muzzle disturbance while keeping the rifle light enough to carry.
The same characteristics also suit precision rifles. Less weight at the muzzle reduces the amount of additional mass hanging at the end of a long barrel, while the suppressor's larger internal volume provides the gas-management capacity expected from the longer Nomad configuration.
Dead Air's own published testing of the Nomad Ti XC/LTi XC family includes .308 Winchester and .300 Winchester Magnum hosts, reflecting the hunting and precision-rifle applications around which the series was developed.
Xeno Mounting Keeps Weight and Length Under Control
This version ships with Dead Air's Xeno HUB adapter. Xeno was designed as a lightweight taper-mount system that provides secure suppressor alignment and repeatable return to zero without the additional size and weight of some larger quick-detach systems.
The Xeno muzzle device and adapter engage with left-hand mating threads. That is a clever mechanical detail: turning the suppressor in the removal direction from the Xeno muzzle device tends to tighten the adapter into the suppressor rather than encouraging the adapter to unscrew from the HUB interface.
A precision taper provides the primary alignment and lock-up surface. The Xeno muzzle devices also sit relatively shallow in the suppressor's blast chamber, preserving useful internal volume and reducing concentrated blast-baffle erosion.
Included DA124 5/8x24 Xeno Omni Brake
The NOMADLTIXCXENOBLK package includes Dead Air's DA124 Xeno Omni Brake with 5/8x24 barrel threads. That thread pattern is common on .308 Winchester, 7.62 NATO, .300 Blackout, 6.5 Creedmoor and many other centerfire rifle barrels.
The DA124 functions as a muzzle brake when the suppressor is removed and as the mounting interface for the Xeno-equipped Nomad LTi XC when suppressed.
If you want to move the suppressor among several rifles, additional compatible Xeno muzzle devices can be installed on the other hosts. Huckleberry Arms carries Xeno flash hiders, brakes and minimalist mounts in multiple thread and bore configurations.
Industry-Standard HUB Compatibility
The Nomad LTi XC uses the common 1.375x24 HUB rear interface. The included Xeno adapter threads into that interface, but the suppressor is not permanently committed to the Xeno system.
That gives the owner considerably more mounting flexibility over the life of the suppressor. Compatible direct-thread mounts, Dead Air KeyMo components and other properly designed HUB adapters can be used when a different mounting solution better fits the rifle.
The benefit is long-term flexibility: the serialized suppressor can remain useful even if the owner's preferred mounting system changes later.
Titanium Is Light — But It Has a Different Mission Than Inconel or Steel
The Nomad LTi XC is optimized for bolt-action and semiautomatic hunting or precision use. Dead Air specifically states that it is not full-auto rated.
That distinction should guide how the suppressor is used. Grade 5 titanium provides an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, but this is not the model to choose for repeated magazine dumps or sustained hard-use firing schedules where maximum heat capacity is more important than weight.
If the goal is covering miles with a suppressed hunting rifle and firing a comparatively small number of deliberate shots, the LTi XC is operating directly in the role for which Dead Air designed it.
Barrel-Length Guidance
Dead Air currently specifies a minimum 12.5-inch barrel for supersonic 5.56 NATO and a minimum 6-inch barrel for subsonic .300 Blackout with the Nomad Ti XC / LTi XC family.
Those figures should not be interpreted as universal minimums for every cartridge. High-pressure and high-energy cartridges impose substantially different thermal and mechanical loads, so Dead Air's current fitment guidance should be checked for the exact cartridge and host before use.
Mount Alignment Still Matters
Before firing, verify that the barrel threads and muzzle-device shoulder are concentric and square to the bore. Dead Air specifically recommends having barrel-thread concentricity checked by a competent gunsmith if the owner cannot verify it independently.
Debris on the HUB threads, adapter taper or Xeno mounting surfaces can interfere with proper seating. Keep those interfaces clean and inspect the suppressor visually after mounting to verify that it sits straight relative to the bore.
Dead Air specifies approximately 25 ± 5 ft-lb as the target installation torque for Xeno muzzle devices and direct-thread adapters on the barrel, with 30 ft-lb as the maximum.
Lifetime Dead Air Warranty
Dead Air provides a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects and damage caused by normal use, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms. The company specifically excludes conditions such as abuse, modifications, defective or incorrectly sized ammunition and use outside the reasonable intended scope of the suppressor.
