FAXON DUTY SERIES THREADED BARREL FOR GLOCK 19 GEN 1-5
The Faxon Duty Series Glock 19 Threaded Barrel is a 9mm replacement barrel manufactured from stress-relieved 4150 CMV steel. Designed for Glock 19 Gen 1 through Gen 5 pistols, this configuration features a black salt-bath nitride finish, conventional rifling, and a threaded muzzle.
Faxon manufactures its Duty Series pistol barrels in-house using button rifling and controlled machining processes. The barrel is designed around factory-specification Glock 19 slides, with dimensional tolerances intended to provide consistent barrel-to-slide lockup.
4150 CMV STEEL CONSTRUCTION
The Duty Series barrel is manufactured from 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium steel. The barrel material undergoes stress relief as part of Faxon's manufacturing process.
Its black nitride treatment is applied to the interior and exterior surfaces. This treatment provides a hardened surface with corrosion and wear resistance while retaining the barrel's black appearance.
CONVENTIONAL BUTTON RIFLING
Faxon uses conventional button-cut rifling geometry with a 1:10 twist rate for this 9mm barrel. Unlike polygonal rifling, conventional rifling uses defined lands and grooves.
Faxon identifies conventional rifling as compatible with a broader range of projectile constructions, including appropriate cast-lead bullets, subject to normal ammunition and barrel maintenance requirements.
THREADED MUZZLE AND TARGET CROWN
The barrel incorporates 1/2x28 muzzle threads and an 11-degree target crown. These are distinct characteristics of this threaded Duty Series configuration.
The muzzle threads require accessories with matching dimensions. Proper alignment and compatibility should be confirmed for any installed muzzle attachment.
GLOCK 19 GEN 2-6, G45 AND G19X COMPATIBILITY
Faxon currently identifies this Duty Series threaded barrel for Glock 19 Gen 2 through Gen 6 pistols, as well as compatible Glock 45 and Glock 19X models. The barrel is designed for factory-specification slides, with aftermarket slide fitment dependent on individual manufacturing tolerances.
Generation 6 Production Note: Beginning with Faxon manufacturing Job #16477, the barrel incorporates an additional Gen 6 relief cut. Earlier production is also identified by Faxon as Gen 6 compatible, although the manufacturer notes that increased wear may occur around the relief-cut area. The job number is engraved on the non-ejection side of the barrel hood.
Zaffiri Precision Compatibility Note: Faxon identifies fitment concerns involving certain Zaffiri Precision ZPS.3v2 and ZPS.6 slide designs because of their upper-window dimensions and placement.
FAXON DUTY SERIES DESIGN
The Duty Series emphasizes traditional barrel geometry, steel construction, conventional rifling, and a black nitride surface treatment. This model is distinct from Faxon's Match Series barrels, which may use different materials, finishes, or exterior profiles.
