A Different Approach to the Adjustable AR Stock
The Reptilia RECC-E Carbine Stock 100-141 is a lightweight adjustable stock system for SR-15, M4 and AR-15-pattern rifles that approaches length-of-pull adjustment differently from a conventional stock sliding over a standard M4 receiver extension.
Instead, the RECC-E uses its own proprietary carbine-length receiver extension and stock architecture to provide an adjustable length of pull while maintaining a more consistent cheek surface through the adjustment range.
The entire AR-15 configuration weighs just 12.0 ounces including the receiver extension, making it an interesting alternative for a carbine where low weight, clean lines and consistent head position matter.
Constant Cheek Weld Through the Adjustment Range
A traditional M4-style stock slides along the outside of the receiver extension, so the relationship between the shooter's cheek, stock body and exposed tube changes as the stock is adjusted.
The RECC-E was designed around a constant cheek-weld concept. The stock architecture maintains a continuous upper surface intended to give the shooter a more consistent facial index throughout its usable length-of-pull range.
That can be particularly useful on a rifle equipped with a red dot, magnifier, LPVO or other optic where repeatable head placement helps produce a consistent sight picture.
10.8" to 14.2" Length of Pull
Reptilia specifies an adjustable 10.8-inch to 14.2-inch length of pull for the AR-15 / M4 version.
That gives the stock approximately 3.4 inches of usable LOP adjustment, allowing the rifle to accommodate different shooters, clothing, equipment and shooting positions without giving up the streamlined RECC-E architecture.
Proprietary 7075-T6 Receiver Extension Included
The RECC-E does not install onto a conventional M4 / Mil-Spec carbine buffer tube.
Reptilia supplies the stock with its own proprietary carbine-length receiver extension manufactured from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III Mil-Spec anodized finish.
That distinction is important when replacing an existing stock: the original receiver extension is removed and replaced with the Reptilia tube supplied with the RECC-E.
Uses a Standard AR-15 Carbine Buffer and Spring
Although the physical receiver extension is proprietary, Reptilia confirms that the standard SR-15 / M4 / AR-15 RECC-E configuration is compatible with a standard Mil-Spec AR-15 carbine buffer and action spring.
That means the stock system does not force the builder into a proprietary internal buffer or spring merely because the external receiver-extension geometry is different.
Modular A5 / SR-25 Capability
The overall RECC-E system is modular. Reptilia offers a separate A5 / SR-25 RECC-E conversion kit and a dedicated SR-25 / A5 / AR-10 version of the stock.
SKU 100-141 is the SR-15 / M4 / AR-15 carbine-length configuration. It should not be confused with the dedicated large-frame / A5 product now sold separately.
If converting the stock to an A5 or SR-25-length recoil system, use the proper Reptilia components and the correct buffer and spring for that operating system.
Impact-Modified Glass-Filled Nylon Construction
The stock body is manufactured from impact-modified glass-filled nylon polymer. Reptilia combines that polymer structure with the 7075 aluminum receiver extension and nitrided alloy-steel hardware.
The combination keeps the complete AR-15 stock assembly at 12 ounces while retaining metal components at the structural and adjustment interfaces.
Integrated Sling Attachment
The RECC-E incorporates ambidextrous QD sling attachment points, allowing compatible push-button swivels to be positioned for either right- or left-side sling use.
Reptilia also now offers additional RECC-E sling accessories, including front-end and rear attachment options for users who want to tailor sling placement around a particular rifle setup.
Rubber Buttpad
A rubber buttpad provides a non-slip shoulder surface without adding the size and weight of a large precision-style stock.
The result remains compact enough for a working carbine while providing more shoulder contact and stability than very small minimalist stock designs.
Designed at the Request of a Military End User
Reptilia states that the RECC-E was developed over more than two years and originated from a request by a military end user.
The design objective was not simply to make another collapsible M4 stock. The constant cheek weld, proprietary receiver extension, modular recoil-system architecture and low overall weight are what separate the RECC-E from conventional tube-mounted stocks.
Made in the USA
The Reptilia RECC-E is made in the United States.
Who Is the RECC-E For?
The RECC-E makes the most sense for a builder who values a consistent cheek weld and lightweight package enough to replace the conventional M4 receiver extension rather than simply sliding another stock onto the existing tube.
For a compact general-purpose carbine, lightweight rifle or precision-oriented AR where consistent head position matters, its 12-ounce system weight and 10.8–14.2" adjustment range provide an unusual combination of light weight and useful stock geometry.
