Reptilia's Constant-Cheek-Weld Carbine Stock in Flat Dark Earth
The Reptilia RECC-E Carbine Stock 100-142 is a lightweight adjustable stock system for AR-15 / M4-pattern rifles that takes a different approach from the conventional stock sliding over a standard M4 receiver extension.
The RECC-E uses its own proprietary carbine-length receiver extension and stock architecture to provide adjustable length of pull while maintaining a consistent upper cheek surface throughout the adjustment range.

Constant Cheek Weld Through the Adjustment Range
The RECC-E was designed around a constant cheek-weld concept. Rather than exposing different portions of a conventional buffer tube as the stock changes position, the RECC-E maintains a continuous upper surface intended to give the shooter a more repeatable facial index.
That is particularly useful on carbines equipped with red dots, magnifiers, prism sights or LPVOs where consistent head placement helps produce a repeatable sight picture.
10.8" to 14.2" Length of Pull
Reptilia specifies a 10.8-inch to 14.2-inch length-of-pull range for the standard AR-15 carbine configuration.
That gives the stock approximately 3.4 inches of adjustment, allowing the rifle to accommodate different shooters, clothing, equipment and shooting positions without abandoning the RECC-E's streamlined geometry.
Proprietary Receiver Extension Included
The RECC-E does not install on a normal Mil-Spec M4 buffer tube.
Reptilia supplies 100-142 with its own proprietary carbine-length receiver extension. Reptilia's current FAQ is explicit that the RECC-E uses a proprietary tube included in the box.
The supplied receiver extension is manufactured from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III anodized finish.
Uses a Standard AR-15 Carbine Buffer and Spring
The receiver extension itself is proprietary, but the recoil components inside it do not have to be.
Reptilia confirms that the standard RECC-E configuration works with a standard Mil-Spec AR-15 carbine buffer and action spring.
That gives the builder the benefits of Reptilia's stock geometry without forcing the rifle into an unusual proprietary buffer or spring.
7075-T6 Aluminum and Glass-Filled Polymer
The system combines a 7075-T6 aluminum receiver extension with an impact-modified glass-filled nylon stock body and nitrided alloy-steel hardware.
This combination keeps overall system weight low while retaining metal components at the primary structural and adjustment interfaces.
Flat Dark Earth
This SKU is finished in Flat Dark Earth, making it a natural match for FDE receivers, grips, rails and earth-tone accessories.
The color also works well on mixed black-and-FDE builds where a fully monochromatic rifle is not the goal.
Ambidextrous QD Sling Attachment
The RECC-E incorporates ambidextrous push-button QD sling attachment points, allowing the sling to be configured from either side of the stock.
That provides a rear attachment point without requiring a separate receiver-end sling plate or clamp-on adapter.
Rubber Buttpad
A rubber buttpad provides a non-slip contact surface at the shoulder while keeping the stock compact and relatively light.
The RECC-E avoids the bulk of a large precision stock while still providing more usable shoulder contact than many minimalist skeletal designs.
A5 and SR-25 Compatibility Requires the Correct Configuration
The broader RECC-E architecture is compatible with longer recoil systems such as VLTOR A5 and SR-25-style systems, but that does not mean the standard 100-142 package ships as an A5 or SR-25 stock.
Reptilia explains that the RECC-E can support these systems by using the appropriate receiver extension and front stock components. Its current FAQ also confirms A5 and compatible SR-25 / large-frame capability.

No Castle Nut or End Plate Required for the Reptilia Tube
One practical advantage of Reptilia's round proprietary receiver-extension design is installation simplicity.
Reptilia notes that the RECC-E system does not require the receiver extension to be timed in the same way as a conventional M4 tube and does not use the normal castle nut / end-plate arrangement.
A Purpose-Built Carbine Stock Rather Than Another M4 Copy
The RECC-E makes the most sense for someone who wants something meaningfully different from the conventional six-position M4 stock.
The combination of constant cheek weld, proprietary 7075 receiver extension, standard internal carbine buffer compatibility, 12-ounce system weight and 10.8–14.2" LOP range gives the RECC-E its own niche.
For a lightweight general-purpose carbine or RECCE-style rifle where repeatable head position matters, 100-142 provides that design in a clean Flat Dark Earth package.
