Ruger 90548 is a value pack containing two genuine BX-25 factory magazines. Each detachable magazine holds 25 rounds of .22 Long Rifle ammunition, giving Ruger rimfire owners two independent magazines for range use, training, competition and field carry.
These are two separate 25-round magazines—not a joined BX-25x2 magazine. The two-pack provides a convenient way to keep an additional loaded magazine available, equip more than one compatible Ruger firearm or reduce reloading interruptions during an extended range session.
Factory-Tested BX-25 Reliability
Ruger states that its BX-25 magazines have been tested and proven to feed as reliably as the standard BX-1 10-round rotary magazine. Because these are genuine Ruger factory components, the body, feed lips, spring and follower are designed to function together as a complete feeding system.
Factory magazines can be especially valuable with .22 LR firearms because reliable feeding depends on consistent cartridge presentation, feed-lip geometry, spring pressure, follower movement and ammunition quality.
Factory-Engineered Feeding Components
Stainless-steel feed lips present cartridges at the proper angle as they move from the magazine into the firearm. A stainless-steel constant-force spring supplies consistent upward pressure throughout the magazine’s capacity.
The self-lubricating anti-tilt follower helps keep cartridges properly aligned, while the durable glass-filled nylon body protects the internal components without adding unnecessary weight. The curved body also provides a larger gripping surface when inserting or removing the magazine.
Compatible .22 LR Ruger Firearms
BX-25 magazines fit factory-original Ruger 10/22 rifles, SR-22 rifles and 22 Charger pistols chambered in .22 Long Rifle. They are also compatible with .22 LR Ruger American Rimfire and Ruger 77/22 rifles designed to accept the 10/22-pattern magazine.
Compatibility should not be assumed with Ruger Mark-series pistols, LCP-series pistols, Wrangler revolvers, 10/22 Magnum rifles or firearms chambered in .22 WMR or .17 HMR. Confirm the firearm’s exact model, chambering and magazine pattern before ordering.
Two Separate 25-Round Magazines
Each BX-25 magazine holds 25 rounds, giving the package a total of 50 rounds of available capacity across two independently removable magazines. If one magazine needs to be unloaded, inspected or cleaned, the other remains available as a separate spare.
The extended capacity reduces the number of magazine changes required during recreational shooting and training. The magazines can also be assigned to different firearms, range bags or equipment kits rather than remaining physically connected as a single assembly.
Maintenance and Ammunition Selection
