The
SIG SAUER FOXTROT-MSR Compact Rifle Mounted White Light is built for shooters who want serious illumination in a smaller rifle-light package. With 1,350 lumens and 33,000 candela, the FOXTROT-MSR Compact gives the shooter both bright flood and useful beam intensity for target identification, navigation, and low-light rifle work.
A rifle light has a different job than a small pistol light or handheld flashlight. On a carbine, short-barreled rifle, defensive rifle, or ranch rifle, the light needs enough output to identify what is downrange while still being compact enough that it does not make the rifle feel awkward or nose-heavy. The FOXTROT-MSR Compact fits that role well, especially on shorter platforms where space and balance matter.
SIG designed the FOXTROT-MSR Compact with both integrated push-button activation and an included remote tape switch with a SureFire-compatible plug. That gives the shooter flexibility in how the light is controlled. It can be activated directly from the tailcap, or the tape switch can be positioned where the support hand naturally lands on the rifle.
The mounting package is another major advantage. The FOXTROT-MSR Compact ships with both
M-LOK and M1913 Picatinny mounting interfaces, making it easier to install on a wide range of modern handguards without immediately needing to buy extra mounting hardware. It is also Scout Mount compatible, giving the shooter additional options for future setup changes.
Power comes from an included rechargeable
18350 lithium-ion battery, and SIG includes two 18350 batteries with the compact model. Runtime is rated up to one hour, making this light suitable for defensive setups, training, property use, and general low-light rifle work where compact size and strong output both matter.
Popular Pairings:
The FOXTROT-MSR Compact is a natural fit for AR15 carbines, short-barreled rifles, pistol-caliber carbines, defensive rifles, and ranch rifles equipped with M-LOK or Picatinny handguards. It pairs especially well with compact rifle optics such as red dots, holographic sights, and LPVO setups where the shooter wants a complete, practical rifle system.
Considering a Full-Size Rifle Light?
A larger rifle light may offer longer runtime or more battery capacity, but it also adds length and weight. The FOXTROT-MSR Compact makes sense when the goal is to keep the rifle lighter, cleaner, and easier to handle while still gaining strong white-light performance. For many defensive carbines and short rifles, that balance is more useful than simply choosing the largest light available.
For many shooters, the FOXTROT-MSR Compact is the kind of upgrade that makes a rifle more complete. A good optic helps you aim, but a good light helps you identify. If a rifle may be used in low light, around vehicles, in buildings, on rural property, or for defensive purposes, a dependable weapon-mounted light is not just an accessory; it is part of the rifleās core capability.
