Aero Precision Ultralight 1-Inch Standard Scope Mount
The Aero Precision Ultralight Scope Mount APRA210100 provides a lightweight mounting solution for riflescopes with 1-inch main tubes. Its Standard profile is designed for AR-type upper receivers equipped with Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny rails.
At 3.27 ounces, this mount adds minimal weight while providing a rigid connection between the optic and upper receiver. It is manufactured in the United States from 6061-T6 extruded aluminum and finished in black anodizing.
Made Specifically for 1-Inch Scope Tubes
This version uses 1-inch scope rings. It is not the 30mm or 34mm version, so the scope’s main-tube diameter should be verified before ordering.
A 1-inch measurement refers to the diameter of the scope’s main tube rather than the objective-lens diameter. A scope with a large objective lens may still use a 1-inch main tube, but objective clearance and mounting position should also be checked before installation.
Standard-Profile Configuration
APRA210100 is Aero Precision’s Standard-profile 1-inch mount. It is intended for installations that do not require the additional forward ring placement provided by Aero’s Extended or SPR configurations.
The correct profile depends on the optic’s available mounting space, required eye relief and the shooter’s preferred stock position. Confirm the complete rifle-and-optic geometry before selecting between Standard, Extended and SPR mounts.
Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny Compatibility
The mount is designed for AR-type upper receivers with Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny rails. Its cross-slot keyway engages the rail slot to help manage recoil forces and resist movement under use.
For proper alignment, the mount should remain entirely on the upper receiver rather than bridging the upper receiver and a free-floating handguard. Verify rail compatibility, available slot space and scope clearance before tightening the hardware.
Lightweight 6061-T6 Aluminum Construction
The Ultralight mount is manufactured from 6061-T6 extruded aluminum to balance rigidity with low weight. The black anodized finish provides a durable surface and coordinates with common black-anodized AR upper receivers and handguards.
Aero Precision lists the completed mount at 3.27 ounces, making it suitable for lightweight carbines and general-purpose rifles where minimizing unnecessary accessory weight is a priority.
Installation and Torque
Aero Precision lists a screw-torque specification of 15 inch-pounds for this mount. Use an appropriate inch-pound torque driver and follow Aero Precision’s installation instructions as well as the scope manufacturer’s mounting recommendations.
Confirm that the scope is level, eye relief is correct and all mounting surfaces are clean before final tightening. Hardware should be tightened evenly and should not be overtightened beyond the applicable manufacturer specification.
