Light-Gray PVD Threaded Barrel for the SIG P320 Compact Platform
The Ballistic Advantage BAPSS20XT1L is a Premium Series 9mm replacement barrel for compatible SIG P320 Compact and Carry-size pistols. It combines hardened 416R stainless-steel construction with a light-gray PVD finish, a clean non-fluted exterior and 1/2x28 muzzle threads.
This particular version is configured without a loaded chamber indicator provision. That distinction matters because Ballistic Advantage offers closely related P320 barrels in both LCI and non-LCI configurations. Confirm the configuration of the pistol and slide before selecting a replacement barrel.
Confirmed P320 Compatibility
Ballistic Advantage lists this barrel for the P320 Nitron Compact, P320 Compact, P320-AXG Carry and P320 XCarry Legion. The manufacturer also lists the M18 with an important qualification: factory M18 barrels use an LCI, and modification is required to operate the M18 with this non-LCI barrel.
This barrel does not support the P320-XFIVE Legion. The XCarry Legion and XFIVE Legion are different configurations, so the presence of “Legion” in the model name alone is not enough to establish compatibility.
No Loaded Chamber Indicator Provision
BAPSS20XT1L is the no-LCI version. It is intended for compatible configurations that do not require the barrel provision used by the mechanical loaded chamber indicator.
Owners of LCI-equipped pistols should not assume direct interchangeability. For an LCI-equipped P320 Compact or Carry configuration, an LCI-compatible barrel may be the more appropriate selection unless the firearm is being properly modified for a non-LCI barrel.
Hardened 416R Stainless-Steel Construction
Ballistic Advantage manufactures its Premium Series pistol barrels from hardened 416R stainless steel. The company selected this material for its combination of strength, toughness, ductility and corrosion resistance.
Each barrel is honed, lapped and tumbled to remove manufacturing imperfections. Ballistic Advantage states that its pistol barrels are held to less than .0001-inch bore deviation and require no break-in period.
Light-Gray PVD Finish
The light-gray physical vapor deposition finish gives the barrel a distinctive contrast against common black P320 slides while adding a durable surface coating. Ballistic Advantage describes its PVD treatment as providing corrosion resistance, wear protection and long-term durability.
The exterior uses a non-fluted configuration. This gives the exposed portion of the barrel a smooth, understated appearance rather than the spiral or Bomber-style fluting available on some other Ballistic Advantage variants.
Threaded 1/2x28 Muzzle
The muzzle is threaded 1/2x28, the common American thread pattern for many 9mm pistol suppressor pistons and compatible muzzle accessories. Ballistic Advantage lists the threaded overall length as 4.650 inches.
Before attaching a suppressor or other muzzle device, confirm the device’s caliber rating, thread pitch, shoulder engagement, bore clearance and host compatibility. A tilting-barrel pistol ordinarily requires a suppressor configured with the correct piston and booster system for reliable operation.
SAAMI-Specification 9mm Chamber
Ballistic Advantage states that its pistol barrels meet SAAMI chamber specifications. The bore uses a 1:10-inch twist rate intended to stabilize commonly used 9mm projectiles across defensive, training and suppressed applications.
As with any replacement pistol barrel, function should be verified with the intended slide, recoil assembly, ammunition and muzzle-device configuration before the pistol is placed into service.
Factory-Firearm Testing and Aftermarket Slides
Ballistic Advantage tests these barrels in complete factory firearms. The manufacturer cautions that dimensional differences among aftermarket slides and other components can affect fit and performance, so universal compatibility with every aftermarket combination is not guaranteed.
Any required fitting, modification or compatibility evaluation should be performed by a qualified armorer or gunsmith familiar with the SIG P320 platform.
