Dead Air Lazarus 6 FDE – Technology, Compatibility & Buyer Information
The Dead Air Lazarus 6 FDE is a low-back-pressure rifle suppressor engineered for demanding firing schedules and harsh operating environments. Its patented Triskelion Gas Management System and 3D-printed Haynes 282 superalloy body distinguish it from conventional rifle suppressor designs.
The LZ6XNFDE configuration includes a Dead Air Xeno adapter and matching 1/2x28 Xeno three-prong flash hider. It provides the same published performance specifications as the black Xeno version, with a Flat Dark Earth high-temperature Cerakote exterior.
What Is the Triskelion Gas Management System?
Dead Air's patented Triskelion Gas Management System uses purpose-designed internal gas pathways to balance sound suppression, flash mitigation, and back-pressure management.
The Lazarus 6 incorporates three Triskelion baffles produced using additive manufacturing. These internal structures are engineered to reduce the pressure increase that can occur when conventional suppressors restrict the escape of propellant gases.
Actual performance depends on ammunition, the host firearm, barrel length, gas-system configuration, and measurement conditions.
Why Is Low Back Pressure Important?
On many gas-operated semiautomatic rifles, installing a conventional suppressor can increase gas pressure and operating-system velocity. Depending on the firearm, this may contribute to additional gas discharged near the shooter's face, increased fouling, and changes in cycling behavior.
The Lazarus 6 is designed to reduce these effects through its gas-management architecture while retaining effective sound suppression.
Reduced back pressure does not guarantee that every firearm will operate identically in suppressed and unsuppressed configurations.
What Is Haynes 282?
Haynes 282 is a precipitation-strengthened nickel-based superalloy developed for high-temperature, mechanically demanding applications.
Dead Air manufactures the Lazarus 6 suppressor body through additive manufacturing, commonly called 3D printing. This allows intricate internal gas-management geometry while using a material selected for strength and resistance to elevated operating temperatures.
The material and manufacturing method support the Lazarus 6's intended hard-use and full-automatic applications within Dead Air's published ratings.
Is the FDE Lazarus 6 Different From the Black Version?
The Flat Dark Earth and black Lazarus 6 models use the same basic suppressor design. The Xeno-equipped versions share their published dimensions, weight, mounting configuration, caliber ratings, and Triskelion gas-management architecture.

What Is Included With LZ6XNFDE?
The Flat Dark Earth Lazarus 6 Xeno configuration includes the suppressor, Dead Air Xeno adapter, 1/2x28 Xeno three-prong flash hider, and TL tool pack.
Other Lazarus 6 configurations may use KeyMo or KeyMo GOV adapters and different muzzle devices. The LZ6XNFDE should not be confused with those configurations.
Xeno vs. KeyMo Mounting
Dead Air offers the Lazarus 6 with multiple factory mounting configurations. These mounting systems differ in their attachment mechanisms and overall dimensions.
| Configuration | Overall Length | Weight |
| Xeno | 5.89 Inches | 16.5 Ounces |
| KeyMo | 6.4 Inches | 18.4 Ounces |
| KeyMo GOV | 6.4 Inches | 18.5 Ounces |
Xeno: A threaded quick-detach system using compatible Xeno muzzle devices and adapters. This is the factory mounting configuration supplied with LZ6XNFDE.
KeyMo: A separate quick-detach system requiring matching KeyMo mounting components.
KeyMo GOV: A specialized configuration designed with secondary retention features for demanding institutional applications.
The mounting systems are not directly interchangeable without the appropriate compatible adapter and muzzle device.
Is the Lazarus 6 HUB Compatible?
Yes. Dead Air identifies the Lazarus 6 as compatible with the HUB mounting interface.
The factory-supplied Xeno adapter can be used with appropriately matched Xeno muzzle devices. Alternative HUB-pattern mounting components may be used where supported by Dead Air's current specifications and installation requirements.
Always verify correct mounting, alignment, caliber clearance, and component compatibility before firing.
What Calibers Is the Lazarus 6 Rated For?
Dead Air rates the Lazarus 6 for full-automatic use with 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC. Its owner's manual also identifies 6mm Creedmoor as an applicable host cartridge.
Caliber compatibility should always be confirmed against the manufacturer's current specifications, including any restrictions that apply to the firearm or ammunition.
Do not assume that any cartridge with a projectile diameter smaller than 6mm is automatically approved.
Does the Lazarus 6 Have a Minimum Barrel Length?
Dead Air lists no minimum barrel-length restriction for the Lazarus 6 when used within its approved caliber and operating specifications.
This describes the manufacturer's suppressor rating and does not alter the legal classification or other restrictions applicable to the host firearm.
Is the Lazarus 6 Full-Auto Rated?
Yes. Dead Air rates the Lazarus 6 for full-automatic firing with 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC.
The suppressor's 3D-printed Haynes 282 construction and internal gas-management system are intended for demanding operating conditions. Users should still follow manufacturer guidance concerning mounting, maintenance, inspection, and safe handling.
Is the Lazarus 6 Hearing Safe?
Suppressors reduce muzzle blast, but actual sound exposure varies with ammunition, firearm configuration, barrel length, environment, and measurement position.
Dead Air emphasizes both muzzle and shooter's-ear acoustic performance for the Lazarus 6. However, a single sound measurement cannot establish that every firearm and ammunition combination will be below a particular hearing-exposure threshold.
Appropriate hearing protection remains recommended, particularly when using supersonic rifle ammunition or shooting for extended periods.
Can the Lazarus 6 Front Cap Be Replaced?
Dead Air designed the Lazarus 6 with a replaceable front cap. Manufacturer-approved replacement and service procedures should be followed if a front-cap strike or other damage occurs.
Discontinue use if damage or a mounting-alignment concern is identified.
October 9, 2026 – ATF National Firearms Act Guidance
On October 9, 2026, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced a nationwide enforcement policy regarding specified National Firearms Act making, transfer, approval, and registration requirements for covered suppressors and certain other NFA-defined firearms.
Under that policy, ATF stated that it would not enforce specified federal NFA advance-approval and registration requirements for covered suppressor transfers. The policy is an exercise of enforcement discretion and does not repeal the underlying National Firearms Act.
The policy may change as a result of subsequent agency action, legislation, or court decisions. Federal Gun Control Act requirements and independently applicable state and local restrictions remain relevant.
For current federal information, see ATF – Update to NFA Transfer Guidance.
Does the Lazarus 6 Still Require an FFL Transfer?
Yes. A suppressor remains a firearm under the federal Gun Control Act. Applicable dealer-transfer procedures continue to require buyer eligibility verification, ATF Form 4473, background checks unless an authorized exception applies, and required dealer recordkeeping.
Huckleberry Arms ships suppressors to eligible federally licensed dealers for lawful transfer, subject to current federal, state, and local requirements.
Are Suppressors Legal in Every State?
No. Some jurisdictions restrict suppressor possession or transfer independently of federal law. The current federal NFA enforcement policy does not override those restrictions.
Customers and receiving dealers must confirm that the intended transfer and possession are lawful in the recipient's jurisdiction.
Maintenance, Inspection & Handling
Follow Dead Air's Lazarus 6 owner's manual for mounting, inspection, cleaning, and service procedures.
Inspect the suppressor and mounting components for damage or improper engagement before use. Suppressors may become extremely hot during firing and can retain heat for an extended period afterward.
Allow the suppressor to cool before handling or storage, and discontinue use if damage, misalignment, or abnormal operation is suspected.
