The Gemtech Lunar-9 QD 9mm Suppressor (13482) combines a modular sound-suppressor design with a factory-installed quick-detach 3-lug mount. Finished in matte black Type III hardcoat anodizing, the Lunar-9 QD is designed for compatible 9mm firearms using an appropriate 3-lug barrel or muzzle-device interface.

Unlike the standard Lunar-9 configuration supplied with a Linear Inertial Decoupler (L.I.D.) pistol booster, manufacturer model 13482 includes the female QD 3-lug mount. This makes it particularly relevant to compatible fixed-barrel 9mm pistol-caliber carbines and submachine-gun-style platforms equipped with the appropriate mounting interface.

Two Configurations: Full-Length or Compact

The Lunar-9's modular construction allows users to select between a longer suppressor configuration and a shorter arrangement. 9mm Luger Performance and Ammunition Compatibility

Gemtech approves the Lunar-9 QD for 9mm Luger use with a minimum barrel length of 3 inches. The manufacturer permits appropriate 9mm ammunition in wet or dry operation, subject to its published ammunition requirements.

Important .300 Blackout Mounting Restriction

The Lunar-9 family is also rated for subsonic .300 AAC Blackout only, with a minimum barrel length of 8 inches and dry operation. However, Gemtech specifies that .300 Blackout use requires an appropriate fixed mount.

The factory-installed QD 3-lug assembly should not be treated as an approved .300 Blackout mounting arrangement. Customers intending to use the suppressor with a compatible .300 Blackout firearm must obtain and use the manufacturer-approved fixed mounting configuration. Supersonic .300 Blackout ammunition is not approved.

Adaptable Mounting Options

Gemtech identifies the Lunar-9 QD as compatible with Lunar-9 and GM-9 mounting options. Appropriate alternative mounts can allow the suppressor to be configured for different approved firearm platforms, but those mounts are not automatically included with model 13482.
