Fast 3-Lug Mounting for Compatible Griffin Suppressors

The Griffin Armament GA9QDK 9mm 3-Lug Interface converts compatible Griffin suppressor configurations to the classic 9mm 3-lug quick-attach system used on H&K-pattern firearms, Griffin 3-lug barrel adapters and other properly dimensioned 9mm 3-lug hosts.

For a pistol-caliber carbine or subgun-style host, 3-lug mounting provides a compact way to install and remove the suppressor without repeatedly threading the suppressor directly onto the barrel. Griffin designed this assembly to add minimal length while maintaining a robust spring-loaded lockup.

This Is the Standard 9mm Griffin / HK / B&T Version

Griffin offers several different 3-lug interface configurations. This listing is specifically for the 9mm Griffin / HK / B&T version, part number GA9QDK.

Griffin states that the 9mm interface fits its own 9mm 3-lug barrel adapters as well as standard H&K-pattern 9mm 3-lug interfaces. Griffin also identifies German HK barrels and properly dimensioned barrels from manufacturers such as RCM and Michael's Machines as compatible examples.

Do not confuse this version with Griffin's .45-caliber / HK 10mm interface, B&T APC/GHM .45-specific interface or Resistance 22M-specific kit. Those systems use different dimensions even though each uses a three-lug mounting concept.

17-4 Stainless Interface with 17-7 Spring

The GA9QDK uses a 17-4 stainless-steel coupler assembly combined with a 17-7 stainless wire spring. Griffin describes the system as sufficiently robust for full-auto applications.

That construction is particularly appropriate for a mounting component that repeatedly sees heat, carbon fouling and mechanical loading during installation and removal.

Minimal Added Length

Unlike large external QD mounting systems, Griffin's 3-lug interface is designed to integrate closely with the suppressor and add very little additional length.

Griffin also designed the assembly so installation requires only minimal deflection of the spring bushing. On compact PCC and subgun-style builds, that can help preserve clearance where handguards, hand stops or other components sit close to the muzzle.

Compatible Griffin Suppressor Configurations

Griffin's current product page lists the 3-lug interface family for compatible configurations of several suppressors, including:

  • Revolution 9 MOD 4
  • Revolution 45 MOD 4
  • Bushwhacker .36
  • Bushwhacker .46
  • Resistance .22M — model-specific configuration requirements apply
  • Sportsman Ultra Light HD .300
  • Sportsman Ultra Light HD .36
  • Sportsman Ultra Light HD .46

The Optimus 9 also supports a 3-lug configuration. Griffin's current Optimus manual illustrates the 3-lug interface, spring and bushing installed with the appropriate booster housing.

Because Griffin has revised several suppressor families and mounting configurations over time, verify the exact suppressor generation and required housing before purchasing components for an older or discontinued model.

No Booster Housing Included

Griffin currently describes this product as the 3 Lug Interface – No Booster Housing.

That distinction matters. On suppressor configurations that use Griffin's pistol-suppressor booster housing, the housing is a separate component. The GA9QDK is the 3-lug interface assembly itself and should not be assumed to include every component necessary to convert a suppressor that does not already have the appropriate housing.

If you are building a 3-lug configuration from scratch rather than replacing an existing interface, verify whether your specific suppressor also requires a booster housing or other mounting hardware.

Ideal for Fixed-Barrel 9mm Hosts

The 9mm 3-lug system is particularly well suited to fixed-barrel pistol-caliber carbines and subgun-style firearms. It is commonly encountered on HK MP5-pattern firearms and can also be added to compatible threaded barrels using the correct Griffin 3-lug barrel adapter.

Once the appropriate muzzle interface is installed, the suppressor can be moved between compatible 9mm hosts without changing direct-thread mounts each time.

Standard 9mm 3-Lug Geometry — But Verify Fit

Although the 9mm HK-pattern 3-lug has become an industry-standard interface, manufacturing tolerances still matter. Griffin guarantees compatibility with its own 9mm 3-lug barrel adapters and states that some other manufacturers' barrels and adapters may also work when correctly dimensioned.

Before live fire, make sure the suppressor seats completely, locks securely onto all three lugs and is properly aligned with the bore.

Backed by Griffin Armament's Lifetime Warranty

Griffin lists the 3-Lug Interface under its Perpetual Lifetime Warranty. For shooters already invested in the Griffin mounting ecosystem, the GA9QDK provides a compact and durable way to add classic 9mm 3-lug capability to compatible suppressors.
