Ruger Lower Parts Kit for AR-15 Builds
Ruger 91001 supplies the controls, catches, pins, detents, springs and trigger-guard hardware needed to complete much of an AR-15 lower receiver. The components are manufactured to Ruger’s standards and intended for use in AR-15-pattern firearms.
This is not a complete lower build kit. It does not include a trigger, hammer, trigger spring, hammer spring, pistol grip, receiver extension, buffer, action spring or stock assembly. That makes it a practical foundation for a builder who intends to select the trigger, grip and buffer system separately.
Included Lower-Receiver Components
- Mil-spec disconnector
- Two trigger and hammer pins
- Safety selector and safety-selector S-ring
- Magazine catch, magazine-catch button and magazine-catch spring
- Bolt catch, bolt-catch spring, bolt-catch plunger and bolt-catch pin
- Two takedown detents and two takedown springs
- Pivot pin and takedown pin
- Buffer retainer and buffer-retainer spring
- Trigger-guard assembly and trigger-guard pin
- Grip screw, grip-screw washer and adjustment screw
Choose the Trigger and Grip Separately
Leaving out the trigger, hammer and pistol grip allows the builder to select those components around the rifle’s intended role. A general-purpose carbine, precision rifle or defensive build may each benefit from a different trigger weight, trigger profile and grip geometry.
The kit does include a mil-spec disconnector and the two pins used by the trigger and hammer. Before assembly, compare the included components with the requirements of the selected fire-control group and lower receiver.
AR-15 Pattern Compatibility
Ruger intends these components for AR-15-pattern firearms. Because lower receivers and aftermarket components can vary, Ruger does not guarantee fit or performance with every available receiver or component combination.
Ruger recommends installation by a qualified gunsmith to support proper fit, safe operation and dependable performance. After installation, the completed lower should receive the appropriate safety and function checks before live-fire use.
