Factory Ruger AR-15 Upper Receiver Parts Kit
The Ruger AR Upper Parts Kit 91005 contains the forward-assist and ejection-port-cover components commonly needed to complete a compatible stripped AR-15 upper receiver. It is a focused factory parts package for a new upper build, receiver replacement or maintenance project.
This is not a complete upper receiver assembly. The package contains the small parts listed by Ruger but does not include the upper receiver itself, barrel, barrel nut, handguard, gas system, bolt carrier group or charging handle.
Complete Forward Assist Assembly
The forward-assist portion of the kit includes the forward assist assembly, forward assist retaining pin and forward assist spring. Together, these components equip a compatible upper receiver with the conventional AR-pattern forward-assist mechanism.
The receiver must be manufactured with the appropriate forward-assist housing and pin channel. Slick-side upper receivers without a forward-assist housing are not compatible with this portion of the kit.
Ejection Port Cover and Installation Hardware
Ruger includes the ejection port cover along with its hinge pin, retaining clip and spring. This provides the primary components required to install a conventional dust-cover assembly on an appropriately configured AR-15 upper receiver.
The ejection-port cover helps shield the interior of the upper receiver from dirt and debris while the firearm is being transported, carried or stored. It opens automatically as the bolt carrier moves during normal operation.
For AR-15-Pattern Firearms
Ruger identifies these components as intended for use in AR-15-pattern firearms. Because the AR market includes receivers and components from many manufacturers, Ruger does not guarantee fit or performance with every possible combination.
Confirm that the selected upper receiver uses the conventional forward-assist and ejection-port-cover arrangements before installation. Billet receivers, proprietary upper designs and slick-side receivers may use different parts or omit these features entirely.

Compatibility should be confirmed with the specific receiver before purchase. An AR-15-pattern designation does not guarantee that every part from every manufacturer will fit every receiver without evaluation or fitting.
