The Samson Hannibal Rail 03-00265-01 replaces the factory plastic handguard on a compatible Ruger Mini-14 or Mini Thirty with a precision-machined aluminum platform for optics and accessories.

Important Mini-14 Fitment: Factory Flanged Barrel / 580-Series & Higher

Samson manufactures separate Hannibal Rails for early and later Mini-14 barrel configurations, so selecting the correct version is critical.

This is not the Hannibal Rail for earlier Mini-14 rifles using the factory straight pencil barrel. Those rifles use the separate 03-00268-series rail.

Replaces the Factory Plastic Handguard

The Hannibal Rail installs in place of the original Ruger plastic upper handguard and mounts directly around the barrel using the supplied clamp system.

Forward-Mounted Optic Position

The Hannibal Rail positions a compatible micro red dot forward of the Mini's receiver and action.

That location works particularly well with non-magnified reflex sights, providing an open field of view while leaving the receiver area relatively uncluttered.

The resulting configuration complements the Mini's ranch-rifle and general-purpose character rather than trying to recreate an AR-style optic layout.

Integrated Picatinny Rail

In addition to its direct optic provisions, the Hannibal Rail includes an integrated top Picatinny rail.

This gives the shooter another mounting interface for compatible optics and accessories when direct micro-red-dot mounting is not desired.

Included 2-Inch Picatinny Rail & QD Sling Mount

Samson also supplies a separate 2-inch Picatinny rail section and a QD sling swivel mount that can be installed on the side of the Hannibal Rail.

This provides additional accessory and sling mounting capability without covering the entire rifle with unnecessary rail sections.

Compatible with Samson A-TM Folding Stocks

The Hannibal Rail is compatible with Samson's A-TM folding stock when the correct rail and rifle configuration are used.

That makes the Hannibal Rail a particularly natural upgrade for a Mini-14 or Mini Thirty already equipped with Samson's folding-stock system.

Samson machines the Hannibal Rail from 6061-T6 aluminum and finishes it with a Type III, Class 2 anodized finish.
