Factory SIG Minimalist Plus Folding Stock for MCX & MPX Platforms

The SIG SAUER 8901268 Minimalist Plus Folding Stock is a factory aluminum stock for compatible MCX, MCX-SPEAR, MCX-SPEAR LT and MPX firearms equipped with SIG's rear M1913 / Picatinny stock interface.

It combines a rigid fixed-length aluminum stock with a side-folding hinge, giving the rifle a full-height traditional shoulder surface when deployed while allowing the stock to fold alongside the receiver for more compact storage and transport.

This version is finished in Coyote Tan, making it a natural match for Coyote and FDE SIG rifle configurations.

Direct M1913 / Picatinny Attachment

Unlike a conventional AR stock, the Minimalist Plus does not require a receiver extension or buffer tube.

The hinge attaches directly to the firearm's M1913 rear interface. That design is possible on platforms such as the SIG MCX and MPX because their operating systems do not require an AR-style buffer tube extending behind the receiver.

The result is a true folding-stock configuration rather than a collapsible stock attached to an extension tube.

Minimalist — But with a Full-Height Buttpad

The Minimalist Plus is the larger version of SIG's minimalist stock concept. SIG gives this version a traditional 4.5-inch overall stock height and a narrow 0.9-inch butt-pad width.

That provides substantially more shoulder contact than the smallest skeletal stock designs while maintaining a thin, low-profile aluminum structure.

Overall stock length is approximately 9 inches.

Fixed Length, Folding Design

This stock is fixed in length. It does not telescope or provide multiple length-of-pull settings.

The hinge allows the complete stock assembly to fold against the side of the firearm, reducing overall storage length without introducing a sliding extension mechanism.

For shooters who already know the stock length they prefer, the fixed aluminum structure keeps the system relatively simple and rigid.

Important: This Coyote 8901268 Is the Non-Locking Version

SIG currently produces several visually similar Minimalist folding-stock assemblies, and the hinge configuration should not be assumed from appearance alone.

SIG's current specifications identify Coyote SKU 8901268 as “Locking: No.”

This should not be confused with the current black Minimalist Plus locking folding stock, SKU 8901411, which SIG specifically identifies as having a locking hinge.

Some older and third-party product descriptions incorrectly call 8901268 a locking stock. Huckleberry Arms uses SIG's current factory specification for this exact SKU.

Aluminum Construction

SIG manufactures the Minimalist Plus stock from aluminum, giving the assembly a rigid skeletal structure without the bulk of a conventional polymer-bodied adjustable stock.

The narrow profile also keeps the folded package relatively flat against the side of the firearm.

Integrated QD Sling Attachment

The stock incorporates Quick Disconnect (QD) swivel slots for compatible push-button sling swivels.

This provides a rear sling mounting location without requiring a separate clamp or receiver-end sling plate.

Compatible SIG Platforms

SIG currently lists the 8901268 Minimalist Plus for:

• SIG MPX

The stock attaches through an M1913 interface, but compatibility with firearms outside SIG's factory-listed models should be verified by the firearm manufacturer before installation.

Stock Installation Can Change a Firearm's Legal Classification

A shoulder stock can change the legal classification of the firearm to which it is attached. SIG specifically warns that attaching this product to certain firearms may create a rifle or short-barreled rifle under federal law, and state or local restrictions may also apply.

Verify the firearm's configuration and all applicable federal, state and local requirements before installation.
