Dead Air Nomad LTi XC – Specifications, Compatibility & Buyer Information
The Dead Air Nomad LTi XC is the extended-length member of the Nomad titanium Cross-Country family. Designed with hunters and precision rifle shooters in mind, it combines an enhanced two-stage coaxial baffle system with lightweight additive-manufactured Grade 5 titanium construction.
Nomad Ti XC vs. Nomad LTi XC – What's the Difference?
The Nomad Ti XC and Nomad LTi XC share their general design philosophy, material construction, and .30-caliber platform. Their primary difference is suppressor body length and the resulting weight and internal volume.
| Specification |
Nomad Ti XC Xeno |
Nomad LTi XC Xeno |
| Overall Length | 7.03 Inches | 8.8 Inches |
| Weight | 9.7 Ounces | 12.2 Ounces |
| Diameter | 1.76 Inches | 1.76 Inches |
| Bore | .30 Caliber | .30 Caliber |
This product is the longer Nomad LTi XC. The additional suppressor length provides more internal volume for sound management while maintaining a relatively low overall weight.
What Does XC Mean?
XC stands for Cross-Country. Dead Air uses the designation for its lightweight titanium suppressor designs intended for hunters and precision shooters who prioritize reducing equipment weight during extended field use.
How Does the Two-Stage Coaxial Baffle System Work?
The Nomad LTi XC uses Dead Air's enhanced two-stage coaxial baffle design. Internal gas-management structures are engineered to regulate different pressure conditions and support effective sound suppression across compatible rifle cartridges.
The internal geometry is produced using additive manufacturing, which enables shapes and gas pathways that would be difficult to manufacture using conventional machining alone.
Why Grade 5 Titanium?
Grade 5 titanium, also known as 6Al-4V, offers a useful combination of low density, strength, and corrosion resistance. These characteristics make it attractive for suppressors intended to minimize weight at the muzzle.
Titanium suppressors are especially appealing for hunting and precision shooting applications, but their firing-schedule limitations must be respected. The Nomad LTi XC is not rated for full-automatic firing.
What Calibers Are Compatible With the Nomad LTi XC?
Dead Air identifies a maximum caliber rating of .300 Remington Ultra Magnum and a maximum muzzle-energy rating of 4,400 foot-pounds for this suppressor.
Compatibility with individual cartridges depends on projectile diameter, muzzle energy, barrel length, ammunition, and manufacturer restrictions. The .30-caliber bore does not establish approval for every cartridge below .30 caliber or every possible firearm configuration.
Consult Dead Air's current caliber compatibility information for the specific firearm and ammunition combination.
What Are the Minimum Barrel Lengths?
Dead Air lists a minimum 12.5-inch barrel for supersonic 5.56 NATO and a minimum 6-inch barrel for subsonic .300 Blackout.
These are cartridge-specific manufacturer restrictions. Other cartridges or operating conditions may have different requirements.
Is the Nomad LTi XC Full-Auto Rated?
No. Dead Air specifically identifies the Nomad LTi XC as not full-auto rated.
Its lightweight titanium construction is optimized for hunting, precision shooting, and appropriate bolt-action or semiautomatic applications. It should not be represented as a substitute for a suppressor specifically engineered for continuous high-volume automatic fire.
What Is the Dead Air Xeno Mounting System?
Xeno is Dead Air's suppressor mounting system designed to work with compatible Xeno muzzle devices and adapters.
The silver Nomad LTi XC configuration is supplied with the Xeno adapter. The suppressor also supports appropriate HUB-compatible mounting hardware, subject to Dead Air's published fitment requirements.
Before installing a muzzle device or adapter, confirm barrel-thread dimensions, caliber clearance, mounting compatibility, and correct alignment. Seek qualified gunsmith assistance when necessary.
Will a Suppressor Change Point of Impact?
Installing a suppressor can change a rifle's point of impact because it changes the mass and mechanical conditions at the muzzle. The amount and direction of any change vary with the firearm, ammunition, and mounting system.
Precision rifle owners should confirm their rifle's point of impact and group consistency in its intended shooting configuration.
Is the Nomad LTi XC Hearing Safe?
Dead Air publishes sound-test data for specific firearm and ammunition combinations, but no single decibel figure describes all possible uses of the Nomad LTi XC.
Sound exposure varies with ammunition, host firearm, barrel length, environment, and measurement position. Suppressors reduce firearm noise but do not eliminate the potential for hearing injury. Appropriate hearing protection remains recommended.
October 9, 2026 – ATF National Firearms Act Guidance
On October 9, 2026, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced a nationwide enforcement policy concerning certain National Firearms Act requirements for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and qualifying Any Other Weapons.
Under the current federal policy, ATF will not enforce specified NFA requirements for advance making or transfer approval, registration, and tax stamps for covered suppressors. The policy follows the federal district court decision in Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF and the Department of Justice's decision to apply its enforcement discretion nationwide.
The National Firearms Act has not been repealed. The current enforcement position may change, and independent federal statutory provisions and applicable state and local laws remain relevant.

Does the Nomad LTi XC Still Require an FFL Transfer?
Yes. A firearm suppressor remains subject to applicable federal Gun Control Act dealer-transfer requirements, including buyer eligibility verification, ATF Form 4473, a NICS background check unless an authorized exception applies, and required dealer recordkeeping.
Huckleberry Arms ships suppressors only to eligible receiving FFLs for lawful transfer and does not ship complete firearms or suppressors directly to ordinary residential addresses.
State and local laws may independently restrict suppressor possession or transfer. Customers must confirm that their intended purchase and possession are lawful in the recipient's jurisdiction.
Manufacturer Warranty and Maintenance
Dead Air provides a limited lifetime warranty under its published terms. Warranty eligibility and repairs are determined by the manufacturer.
Follow the official Nomad Ti XC / LTi XC owner's manual for installation, inspection, care, and service procedures. Never operate the suppressor with an improperly aligned mounting system or visible damage.
Suppressors can become extremely hot during use and remain hot after firing. Allow them to cool before handling or storage.
