A Compact M-LOK Stop with More Than One Job
The Die Free Co FULL STOP is a compact aluminum control point that can function as a hand stop, finger stop or barricade stop on a compatible M-LOK handguard. Its small 1.3-inch footprint provides a positive physical reference without occupying unnecessary rail space or adding the bulk of a larger forward grip.
Install it where your support hand naturally lands to create repeatable hand placement, use it as a forward or rearward index point, or brace its machined face against a suitable barricade. At only 0.8 ounces, the FULL STOP adds useful leverage and indexing without materially changing the balance of the rifle.
Machined 6061-T651 Aluminum Construction
Unlike a molded polymer hand stop, the FULL STOP is machined from 6061-T651 aluminum. The rigid construction gives the shooter a defined contact surface and supports its use against barricades and other shooting rests.
The tan MIL-A-8625 Type III anodized finish provides a durable protective surface and pairs naturally with flat dark earth, coyote, desert and mixed-earth-tone rifle builds. DFCO notes that colored anodizing can vary slightly from one component to another.
M-LOK Compatibility and Placement
The FULL STOP mounts directly to a compatible M-LOK slot. Its narrow 0.6-inch width and 1.36-inch height provide enough surface to locate by feel while keeping the accessory compact.
Placement depends on how the shooter intends to use it. Mounted ahead of the support hand, it can help prevent the hand from moving toward a hot barrel or muzzle area. Mounted behind the hand, it can provide an index surface for pulling the rifle into the shoulder. It can also be positioned where its exterior face is accessible for supported shooting against a barricade.
Installation Guidance
DFCO recommends biasing the FULL STOP toward the rear of the firearm so the accessory's rear recoil lug engages the M-LOK slot. Install with a 3/32-inch Allen bit and torque the mounting screw to 25 inch-pounds. Do not exceed the manufacturer's stated maximum of 35 inch-pounds. Blue threadlocker is recommended.
Confirm that the mounting hardware is correctly engaged, the accessory cannot shift, and its position does not interfere with the gas block, barrel, operating components or other accessories.
Who Should Choose the FULL STOP?
The FULL STOP is a strong choice for a shooter who wants a low-profile M-LOK index point but prefers machined aluminum over polymer. It is particularly useful on compact rifles where handguard space is limited, on precision-oriented builds that may be fired from barricades, and on general-purpose rifles where consistent support-hand placement matters.
A larger forward grip may be more appropriate for someone who wants a full gripping surface. The FULL STOP is deliberately smaller and is intended to provide indexing, leverage and a hard contact point without dominating the handguard.
