Grey Ghost Gear SMC Plate Carrier in Multicam
The Grey Ghost Gear SMC Plate Carrier is a lightweight, modular armor carrier designed around the ability to shoot, move and communicate without unnecessary bulk. This Multicam configuration combines laser-cut laminate construction, extensive MOLLE/PALS attachment space and rapid-release ROC buckles in a highly adaptable platform.
The front and rear plate bags are designed to accommodate standard 10x12-inch hard armor plates or most Large SAPI plates. Because armor plates vary in cut, curvature and thickness, confirm the measurements of the individual plate before installation.

Laser-Cut Laminate Construction
The SMC uses lightweight laminate nylon with laser-cut MOLLE/PALS slots instead of layers of conventional sewn webbing. This construction reduces unnecessary material while retaining ample mounting space across the plate bags and cummerbund.
The laminate is water and chemical resistant, while the heat-sealed laser-cut edges help resist fraying during regular field use.
MOLLE/PALS and Identification Space
The front plate bag provides six rows of MOLLE/PALS attachment space for magazine pouches, medical equipment, communications gear and other mission-specific accessories. The upper three rows incorporate loop material for patches, identification panels and compatible hook-backed accessories.
An open-top front administrative pocket provides convenient storage for maps, gloves, a watch cap, cables or other compact equipment.
ROC Quick-Release System
ROC buckles provide fast donning, doffing and emergency removal. The carrier has a releasable buckle on one shoulder strap and ROC closures on both sides of the cummerbund. The shoulder buckle can be repositioned to accommodate the user’s preferred setup.
Modular Rear-Panel Interface
Integrated YKK zippers and rear webbing support Grey Ghost Gear SMC zippered back panels. The interface is also designed around the commonly issued SOCOM zip-panel pattern, allowing the carrier to accept a variety of compatible rear-panel configurations.
Compatibility can vary between panel manufacturers and production generations, so verify the zipper spacing and attachment pattern before purchasing a separate rear panel.
Adjustable, Ventilated Fit
Adjustable shoulder straps and an adjustable cummerbund allow the one-size carrier to fit a broad range of users. Breathable mesh, internal padding and airflow channels inside the plate bags and cummerbund help manage heat and moisture during extended wear.
Designed for Armor Plates
The SMC is intended as a tactical armor carrier. It should not be treated as a weighted workout vest or used with oversized exercise plates that could damage the plate bags or retention system.
